Olga Simón *1974 Madrid
Photography is the medium in which this artist moves masterfully in order to represent her inner world through details and small nuances. Her images present poetic and carefully crafted visions of an unknown yet immediate world, which, viewed through the lens of her camera, are transformed into yet undiscovered sights full of beauty.
Components such as light, water, colors or words are symbols that the artist uses to convey her dreams or nightmares, her obsession and her aesthetic restlessness.
Olga Simón studied in the Basque Country and in Madrid, where she received the II. Prize Thibierge & Comar Awards in Paris. Her works can be found in the photo archive of the Ministry of Culture in Madrid and the Musée de l'Elysée in Lausanne, Switzerland.
